Sunday, June 20, 2021: The Patriotic Citizens of Amuzi (PCA) Central Working Committee led by her Chairman Chief B.C Nwachukwu and Chairman Health Committee, Mrs Catherine Enefaa Otuibe, visited Mr Chinonso Opara, to deliver a cash sum of N350K.

This was donated by PCA members and friends, to enable him and family offset an FMC Owerri medical bill of N500K, for the surgical removal of a debilitating kidney tumor. It must be recalled that the PCA had previously advanced him N70K to facilitate treatment initiation, making a total of N420K donation through PCA.

Mr. Chinonso Opara is the only child of late Mr Ugwuole Opara and Mrs Ursula Opara of Umuowasi, and a final year student of Computer Science at the Federal Polytechnic at Nekede. He had approached PCA Central Working Committee (CWC) for urgent help to remove a kidney tumor at the FMC Owerri. The surgery was successfully done on May 10, 2021.
Also In attendance at the presentation of the donation was the St. Jude’s Catholic Church Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Paschal Njoku who conducted very powerful prayer and blessings for Mr Opara, his mother Mrs Ursula Opara and family, the donors and Uhi community. Others present were the Umuowasi community led by Ezinna Christian Njoku, the Councilor representing Amuzi-Ihenweorie ward Hon. Uchenna Agomuo, Chief Joe Kemdirim, Mr Chikaodi Nwaneri, and Mr Moses Nwagwu.

PCA commended all who rallied to ensure that Mr Opara got the much needed help for his treatment and alleviation of undue hardship on his widowed mother and family.
